Newsletter
Welcome to my first newsletter of 2012. I am going to attempt to keep
them more up to date than last year as well as regularly updating a newly
created `wall' on Facebook. I have finally succumbed to social networking
and am currently working on a wall where more regular snippets of information
can be viewed. I am hoping to have more information on this shortly. It
is a very steep learning curve at the moment and I am being helped and
tutored by my very patient daughter! The link to the Facebook `wall' is

Pictured here is the new fantasy pincushion for 2012. Normally this is
released at the first show we attend in Perth. Several regular students
saw it finished on the table and immediately wanted to create one of their
own. Theirs are now finished and I decided that the project may as well
go on the website for customers at this time. Kits are packed and ready
for mailing - limited quantities at this stage but more on the way. Several
of those regular students in typical fashion wanted theirs in different
colourways and we managed to do this - you can view some of their varied
creations on the Facebook `Wall' above. It is a fun project and from the
response so far will be very popular this year. Check it out on the website

Toadstool
Glenn (long suffering husband) and I have also been very busy in the garden
and long hours are paying off. Glenn is on the home stretch of completing
a post and rail fence that encloses the garden, designed to keep the wallabies
out and I have been busy with the general weeding and planting that a
large garden requires. Roses are spectacular at the moment with their
second flush of flowering well under way.
Classes are being designed and created for the exhibitions we will be
attending this year. Keep your ear to the ground and hopefully as each
exhibition is finalised we will post an update on the `Wall' As one of
my classes I am hoping to teach hand formed roses from 38mm ribbon this
year as craft circle class - should be extremely popular. It still has
to be finalised with the exhibition companny but I have my fingers crossed
to meet with their approval. You can see what these will look like below.
